SIDE HUNG WINDOWS
The side hung window is an outward-opening window with visible hinges that can be opened all the way to the side. This offers good ventilation, and its simple design make the side hung window a popular choice with many home types – also because the window works particularly well as a rescue opening.
ADVANTAGES OF SIDE HUNG WINDOWS
- Suitable as rescue opening.
- It can be combined with side guided windows, as they visually resemble each other.
- Easy and step-less operation.
- Enables good ventilation.
- Available in 2- and 3- layer glass in wood or wood/aluminium.
ENABLES GOOD VENTILATION
Side hung windows can be opened 90° to the side (remember to pay attention to the opening direction) and come as standard with casement stay and storm hook, but can also be chosen to come with lock bar and brakes that allow for friction brake setting in which the window can be locked at the desired angle.
TIP
Choose a click valve so you can ventilate with a single click - without having to leave the window ajar. Click valves are also called venting valves, and they allow for ventilation without having to open the window. This way, you won't tempt uninvited guests with open windows.
